Dear Le Mana Pasifika Family,
We’re excited to share an update as we continue our haerenga (journey) with the program in full flight. Next month, we’ll proudly introduce the new faces of our reference group as our first meeting will have kicked off on the 7th of May, who will support our kaupapa and support the community.
We’re reaching out to our friends and participants to offer feedback on how we can enhance our mahi (work). Your input is vital and will only take less than five minutes. We deeply appreciate your thoughts as this guides program delivery and services.
Our program has also reached unprecedented heights. Mentoring engagement is at an all-time high, and requests from (schools) kura and secondary consults continue to grow. This is a testament to the kaha (strength) and aroha of our team, partners, and the wider Le Mana whānau.
We’re still recruiting for our Leadership Groups to empower our rangatahi (young people) with a wide array of opportunities to address community gaps. If you know anyone who would be a great fit, please encourage them to reach out to one of our friendly staff to find out what’s involved.
Le Mana School programs are all go and we are loving it! Currently in the North West we are in Doherty’s Creek College, Point Cook Senior and have started some great work with Taylors Lake students. We also have a busy term 3 & 4 coming up with potential school programs in St Francis, Coburn Primary School and Hoppers Crossing SC.
Across the South East, we are in Cranbourne East, Cranbourne SC and we are excited to be starting up at Alkira SC.
We are also doing some great work with our young people, currently providing mentoring opportunities to empower our Pasifika young people in Victoria, fostering connected communities and a profound sense of belonging.
