Get to know Le Mana’s Team Leader: Tamm

Fakaalofa Lahi atu and in every beautiful Pasifika language, greetings!

I am absolutely blessed to live, work and learn here on Naarm Country. I acknowledge and stand in solidarity with our First Nations community here, in the fight for voice, representation and rights. I too value Elders of this country, languages, culture and leaders.

I am Tamm Kingi-Falakoa, from the best Pacific Island in the world, Niue. Born and raised in Mangere, Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland, NZ). I am three months into my role as Team Leader for the Le Mana Pasifika Program.

The work that Le Mana and CMY do is so extensive and impactful. As a result, my role is really exciting, educational and rewarding. I feel super blessed to be able to serve with purpose in our community. I am really enjoying it all!

Le Mana has been really proactive in serving our wider Māori and Pasifika communities here in Naarm. It’s an exciting movement to be a part of, one that’s creating young and strong leaders of our very diverse Oceanic spaces.

In my short time, I’ve been involved with school programs, 1:1 support opportunities and many different community events. I’ve also engaged and led training opportunities, recruitment of new staff and planning for 2025. This year is looking very exciting for Le Mana, I’m so here for it!

To get to know Tamm better, here is 2 Truths and a Lie. Which one is the lie? That’s for you to figure out…

I play the Trumpet.
I have traveled to 22 different countries.
My personal best deadlift is 140kg.
