The Gippsland team runs a variety of youth-led projects, in school sessions, events and consultations to promote and facilitate the participation of young people in community, school, work and civic society.
We work closely with local services, volunteers and councils to build their capability in providing inclusive and appropriate programs and services for young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds. Supporting young people to feel connected is what we do.
Our Programs
Youth Advisory Group
The YAG provides an opportunity for young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds to have input into CMY’s work, including program development and speaking on issues that should be at the forefront.

Culture Club
Our team runs free in school programs that build awareness around multiculturalism and discuss topics of importance to young people such as inclusion, diversity, culture, respect, identity, and wellbeing. CMY partners with other local experts to deliver activity based sessions that increase young peoples’ familiarity to support and services.
Community Engagement
We run and support community events for young people and their families to foster belonging and connection. We work with local organisations and partners to create opportunities for young people to be social, participate and have a say in their local communities.
Consultations
Our team and the young people we work with provide consultations and feedback to local organisations, government, programs and projects providing a multicultural lens to different initiatives.
