Culturally Responsive Practice for Learning Support Programs
What does it mean to be culturally responsive? In this module you will have an opportunity to explore your own cultural perspectives and consider how this impacts on your Learning Support Program (formally known as OSHLSP or Homework Clubs). We look at the skills you need to be culturally responsive and apply these to Learning Support Program situations.
Please note: This webinar will be delivered via Zoom. Meeting information and password will be emailed to registered participants before the training.
Learning Support Programs are also known as OSHLSPs and Homework Clubs. LBB offers FREE training to Learning Support Program staff and volunteers in Victoria, Australia. Please contact us at training@cmy.net.au to find out about training support available for other sectors.
In order to continue offering free training that supports the sector, we need your help. If you register for a training, but find you are unable to attend, please notify us at least 24 hours before the training begins.
The trainings are typically very interactive. In addition to covering important information and theory, we will go through various strategies and activities that you can use to support the students in your club.
These sessions are not recorded. If you would like more resources or information on a specific topic, please contact us at learningbeyondthebell@cmy.net.au or go to our online learning space The LBB Hub.
