“Data? It’s everything about you!” Collecting data with multicultural young people
This report explores the perspectives of young multicultural people and the professionals working with them, on data collection in Victoria.
It aims to understand the barriers and enablers to quality data collection when working with multicultural young people. Specifically, what facilitates the meaningful engagement necessary to influence how Australia captures and uses its cultural diversity data.
Understanding this is a necessary step towards ensuring informed decision-making and future policy and investment, that actively improves the lives of multicultural young people, families and their communities.
