By sharing the knowledge we’ve gained over the past 30 years, we aim to support others to work more effectively with Victoria’s diverse youth population.

CMY undertakes significant research and consultation with young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds to inform policy and advocacy at local, state and national levels.

We partner with researchers to build our knowledge around young people and the changing world in which they live. This evidence helps us design programs that address contemporary challenges, create opportunities that are accessible and appropriate, and develop stronger communities.

Through our work we also link decision makers and researchers directly with young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds, supporting youth participation in policy and advocacy.

We form strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders to advance the issues of young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds, providing advice in a range of contexts in order to inform and influence policy development.
